2. Removal: All the doors, drawer fronts and hardware are labeled and carefully removed. The doors, drawers and any panels or trim that are removed will be taken to the workshop for refinishing. The cabinet boxes and any panels or trim that is installed will remain onsite to be refinished.

3. Meticulous cleaning and preparation: All surfaces to be refinished are thoroughly cleaned and degreased including the cabinet frames, doors, and drawer fronts. This crucial step ensures a clean surface for maximum primer adhesion.

4. Expert repairs and sanding: Any imperfections, such as scratches, dents, or holes, are expertly filled and repaired with high-quality wood filler. The surfaces are then sanded to create a perfectly smooth, uniform base for the new finish.

5. Specialized priming: For colored cabinets a high-quality, professional-grade primer is applied to seal the wood, add adhesion to the repairs, and prevent any old finish from bleeding through. For natural or stained cabinets, a clear sealer is used to seal the wood and add adhesion. Depending on the condition of the doors and drawer fronts this process is repeated 2 to 3 times with light sanding in between to prepare the surface for a flawlessly smooth finish.

Factory cabinets are mass-produced cabinets, manufactured in a factory setting rather than being handmade by skilled woodcraft person. Factory Cabinets vary by construction, materials, style, quality and level of customization. Most Factory cabinets offer no customizations and while others have limited customizable options.  .

Predominately Factory Cabinets are Stock Cabinets or RTA (Ready to Assemble) . Stock Cabinets are ready to install and typically have limited sizes and styles. RTA Cabinets typically have more styles and sizes but require assembly. Stock and RTA cabinets are limited to predetermined size options.  Also available are Semi-custom cabinets which are made-to-order cabinets built in a factory that offer more options for sizes, finishes, and door styles than stock cabinets and RTA cabinets. They are a middle-tier option that provides more flexibility than stock cabinets but is more limited than custom-built.
